Isata held an Elton John scholarship while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London and has since won a number of awards including the 2021 Leonard Bernstein Award and the 2020 Opus Klassik Award for Best Young Artist. A member of the extraordinarily gifted Kanneh-Mason family, Isata has already appeared in Vancouver twice with her brother, cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason. We look forward to presenting her Canadian solo recital debut.
