We’re thrilled to close out our season with these two bright lights! Timothy Ridout made a huge impression on the VRS audience at his Canadian debut in 2023. The former BBC New Generation Artist and Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship recipient is one of the most exciting young violists to emerge in recent years, known for his warmth, charisma, and fearless artistry. A highly-respected chamber musician, he regularly partners with pianist Federico Colli, who leapt to worldwide attention as the winner of the 2012 Leeds International Piano Competition, firmly establishing himself as a major musical presence on the international stage. Federico made his Vancouver debut with the Chopin Society in 2021 and his VRS debut in 2024. A week before his appearance with Timothy, he returns to the Chopin Society for a solo recital on Sunday, May 2.
