Experience one of the most riveting and captivating stage performers of our time in a recital of Francis Poulenc’s 45-minute monodrama La voix humaine (1958), based upon the play of the same name by Jean Cocteau. The libretto consists of a woman’s last phone conversation with her lover, who now loves someone else. With merely a telephone, an extraordinarily expressive voice, a pianist, a chair, and a table, Anna Caterina will enthrall you as you listen in on the conversation.
The first part of the Antonacci experience will contain songs by Debussy, Reynaldo Hahn, and Respighi. Be prepared to leave speechless!
