We can't wait to welcome pianist Steven Osborne back to our stage at the Playhouse this Sunday, March 30. It's no secret that Steven has been a VRS favourite for a long time, and with good reason! Sunday's concert will mark his eighth VRS appearance. For this recital, he has put together a wonderfully eclectic program that includes works by Schumann, Debussy, Gershwin and contemporary composers such as Keith Jarrett and Meredith Monk. We hope you can join us!
We were thrilled to welcome Johan Dalene, Violinist and pianist Sahun Sam Hong to our stage today. The duo wowed us with a fabulous program that included works by Schumann, Rautavaara, Ravel, Lutosławski and Grieg. Their rendition of Ravel’s ‘Tzigane’ blew us all away! The encore was Grazyna Bacewicz: ‘Humoreska’. Afterwards, the artists joined Leila and Young Classical Artists Trust - YCAT CEO & Artistic Director, Alasdair Tait, on stage for a Q&A session. This was a VRS debut that we'll remember for a long time to come. Thank you, Johan and Sam, we can't wait to welcome you back! 👏
